JP has been an avid horseplayer since 1981, when he first started going to the track with his Dad and best friend. He specializes in Southern California racing, with a focus on the increasingly popular player-friendly exotics - The Late $3 Pick 3 and the $5 Late Daily Double.
JP's handicapping approach relies primarily on Thoro-Graph performance figures, a tool he believes provides the most accurate read on a horse's true performance. He also factors in race shape, workout reports and trip handicapping. A firm believer that ticket construction is just as important as handicapping itself, JP spends equal time crafting his wagers as he does analyzing the races.

Race 8: A) 6,3 B) 5,9.10 C) 2
#3 Detain is a French import making his first start stateside, McCarthy trained and JJ aboard, this 4 year old colt was racing in Grade 1 races in France last year. He should dust this group off. If the French import doesn't fire, #6 Watsonville has the best speed figures of the group.#5 Iron Man Cal is the sentimental favorite, I love this horse and has been gelded, makes his 3rd start as a 4 year old and comes off some B+ works. #9 Tempus Volat is sneaky here making his 3rd start as a 4 year off, he might get a piece of this at 10/1 - might be a good horse to put in THE REVERSE TRIFETA KEY i.e. 6,3 with All with 9.
Race 9: A) 2,12 B) 6,7,8,10
I don't have a good opinion on this race, this race could result in a price. My A horses both come out of the same race and ran well. #2 R Danny Boy has good numbers and #12 Rockabilly Rebal, who I like best ran a great race and has been working well. #6 Wild King is my long shot play at 30/1 and #7 and #8 are sneaky as well. #10 He's Got Fire may be live comin down in class, adding blinnkers and a great work to boot. At 8/1 he might be the play.
Race 10: A) 9,7. B) 3,4,5,6,11
#9 Hardtobebetternow is a standout, best figures and 3rd start as a 4 year old. This price will likely be 4/5, if he doesn't fire, #7 Non Domicile could be a great backup. After that I have 5 others - take your pick.
